Xcov 20 Pre-WET data
KUV 05134+2605
This plot shows Fourier amplitude spectra of the discovery observations of
KUV 05134+2605 from October 1988 (upper half of the panels) and of the
pre-WET measurements from October 2000 (lower halves, mirrored); the
corresponding spectral windows are to be found in the insets. It is
obvious that the star changed its pulsational behaviour since discovery:
the amplitude dropped to about half its original value and the dominating
time scale of the variations shifted from 710 to 530 seconds.
The pulsations are multiperiodic: whereas most of the power in the 1988
data was found in a narrow region between 660 to 780 seconds (plus some
harmonics), analysis of the individual nights of the measurements from
2000 leads to the suspected presence of signals near 530, 650, 740 and 830
seconds. We have high hopes that the WET observations will reveal the true
periodicities.
